I am not here. I am not there. I am invisible. You cannot see me, as I can see you. I am the Ghost with the Lens. I am behind you. I am beside you. I am in front of your face, yet you are still blind. The only thing anyone can see is the spark from my bulb. Follow that flash and you will find me.
I am in the cafe beside the long window overlooking the street, sitting contentedly as I watch humanity’s animus pass before me. You need know just this. I am thinking. I am only resting. It will not be long before I disappear into the street once again.
I seek stories, not pictures. I seek truth, not lies. This passion is within me. It begins in my heart and is pumped steadily through my veins and photography is the elixir that stops the pounding. I am the Ghost with the Lens. You cannot see me. But I can see you. Your reflection is in the swirling bubbles and in the glass buildings and in the tepid puddles. I do not put you there. I am a witness and I am surrounded by your creation. You are my constant. You are my companion. I am the Ghost with the Lens and it is you that haunts me.
